That's the plan, yes, but not until later, as we want March calving. Her daughter is due to be bred this year too, and has already 'gotten friendly' with the pony :oops:

We are certain she is not bred. Vet had her arm in, and calf was due 2 weeks ago. I think she'd have noticed! :lol:

No matter what it says on the pack, we try not to worm during pregancy, usually worming before breeding, and then we always worm everything the day it foals/calves/kids or lambs, and we reckon it does the babies through the milk, so we wouldn't want to double dose the little critter I like March...

Had the vet in today, she said there are no cysts, but there are a couple of polyps. (Not sure what the difference is, and Carl is useless with big words!) He never asked any questions at all! Anyhoo, she's had a shot and vet said she should come in heat in a day or and we will know when she...

Intruded? not at all! why would I think that? I'm just wondering why do the vet thing when she's not showing any signs yet? I think she may have just slipped in transport if she was bred at all.

she was shipped to us in 30th May, so that was her last possible service date, she's a week over now. neighbour is coming tomorrow for a look What is the vet going to except confirm that she isn't? Time will do that

Shes a breeder alright, she had calf last year, and she's only 4yrs old. Figure she must have slipped in transport, But she's huge, and we didn't notice heat all last summer

Thanks, but that is not an option as we bought her from Ontario, quite a few miles away.... that's the trouble with rare breeds. On the vet issue, we keep thinking, why call the vet when she's either going to drop it in the next week, or she's not.... and so we keep on waiting. Wouldn't re-breed...
