    yearling down

thanks for the reply, not exactly sure what the cause was but i surmise either acorns (?) or acidous from Corn (half bucket for seven head seemed doubtful). I seen no improvement so he went to a better place friday, there was some bruises on his hind quarter though. so really not sure what...

"Our old German Sheppard farm dog died this last Fall of old age. We had her since she was a puppy and was a super farm dog. We are hoping to get another puppy this summer. I like German shepherds, but it was tough to watch the last few years as like many, her hips started to bother. She was a...

    Buzzards and Vultures

Not sure if this works in large pasture setting but where I work we have permit to shoot them (turkey buzzards) and then hang dead buzzard upside down on post. this seems to work great to keep them off compost bin until legs rot off and they return. just a thought, not sure if same success with...

    Name Your Terminal

In my opinion Charolais Bull on 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9 and black polled bull 5/10 also either char or black bull on 11/12. My reasoning would be to bring uniformity to the calf crop starting with the hide :2cents:

What 3 way cross would you do?

right now i do Charolais X Hereford X "Red" Charolais but for a three way i would have to say Hereford X Red Angus or depending preference a black bull...BA, GV, SM, etc then X Charolais.

    felton herefords

Not sure about the first two bulls you listed but I have used "progression". only had two calves from him last fall so not a good sample. the calves came easy and look like they will be small framed with plenty of pigmentation. the faults i see are only they have what i would describe as "bug...
