I use to give a vitamin D shot , when you thought she would calve in a day or two , it is suppose to help activate the calcium in the bones it helped for me I dairied in Victoria Australia , or buy a box of cal bags as insurance ,good luck ,have fun

i fed rice straw to dry dairy cows afew yrs ago , i added urea and molasis desolved together to give it some protine , the cows servived and calved ok , it was just added work , so see your ag extention oficer . good luck . E

i do not know loomix , but have fed rice staw with molasis and urea poored over it right up to calving with a mob of dairy cows, the advice in the last post sound very good, good luck.

i get payed to change them so why do it for nothing ? any payment is good. :banana:
