How many of you have ever been? I was told one time it is the largest equine event in the world. I haven't been in 10 years but am going up tomorrow. Last time I was there it was over 6,000 head of horses and mules and over 25,000 people on the ranch at one time. It's a 9 day event, only race 3 of those days but many events throughout the week including some good concerts. I used to spend 5 days up there riding my horse and watching the races.
 
I’ve always wanted to go, but Labor Day weekend has always been a big family weekend for us. Usually everyone from grandkids to the elderly get together for a casual cookout. The last few years have included some Tannerite and ear plugs.

The guy that owns the ranch hit a homerun doing this, he started it in the 80s. It's a real working ranch the rest of the year but all this week and labor day weekend every year there's 20,000-40,000 people on the ranch @ $50/day per person cash money.
