LZ=Landing Zone.
I went into town this morning for a 9:30 appointment with the VA, my wife took her own car to go to school from the VA office. Up the hill, I encountered a long line of LEO and unmarked vehicles on each side of the road next to the turnoff to my nearest neighbor's place. 30 minutes later, got a call from neighbor, said the Sheriff wanted to talk to me. "Mr ---- we need a place to land a helicopter today--probably on and off all day--we were going to use your neighbor's place but the pilot isn't cofortable with the layout". He explained what was going on, I said yes, go ahead and do whatever you need to do and I told him to put my neighbor back on.
"J----- , go unlock the front gate, and let em in--I'll be back home as soon as I am thru here".
Helo work started and I was allowed to watch and take pics but there was also a news reporter there and it's already on the website:

(and some people here, think I don't like the police or will help them--I could have said no--I did not)
I ought to charge them for breaking that cedar tree down tho. That, was my favorite tree on the whole place. ;-)
I have a lot of pictures but the ones on the website will do just as well since my PB account is nearly full.
(I hope no one comes tonight and burns my house down tho)
