This is Childish and ridiculous. It's sports, a football game, not Life, Love nor Death. Love my college football,
and my Home Team as much as anyone. I will not engage in name calling (maybe in fun), over any ball
game ever. I root cuss/fuss, etc about what goes on on the field, but guess what. I'm not out there coaching
or playing. Best I can do is sit back enjoy the game, and hope my favored team wins. Had respond, felt this gone too far.

In Kentucky, my mom always said we was hillbillies. Not Rednecks. She said Rednecks were rude and ill-mannered. So she didn't like people calling us rednecks. She said we was just a little better than a Tennessee "brier-hopper". Then, if you go further south from there, you get into a lot more Rednecks.

Me too Papa...this ol' Aggie has no problem rooting for the Longhorns when playing out of state teams. Heck I still have a UT 2006 national championship cap. One ugly sucker....gray, white and only a bit of burnt orange....but I wear it when appropriate.

Y'all must look at football a little different on Texas than we do in Alabama. I don't care who Bama is playing I want to see them lose. I could never bring myself to say those two dirty dirty words the op used in the title to this thread. I will say they are good and that they have the best coach in college football but that's as far as I can take it. I know Auburn ain't much this year but I'm sure when they meet Bama in the iron bowl they will have a team full of all americans.

Can't speak for all Aggies Craig but I don't get all wound up over football and yes I can root for the University of Texas. Hating them accomplishes nothing. You being an Auburn fan is sort of like me being an Aggie. Always the "little brother" in the state. We just laugh it off and keep going.

I work with a bunch of Bama folks, the state that is. Some are Auburn fans and some are Tide fans. They are friendly, some best friends, but they are just like you say. Whoever the other team is playing, they want Auburn/Tide to lose, and lose big..
