I like Tenn and I like their running back Hurd, but Bama this year is one of those special teams. They would beat Tenn 10 of 10 times. Due to style, the only team that I though might give Bama a scare was Arkansas in Fayetteville and we saw how that worked.
Against A&M, 16.5 is a lot of points. Nonetheless, I view it as 95% that they win outright and 65% that they cover.
I'll take Bama and give up the points, and will do so for a decent amount.

Well I am calling for an upset, Aggies by four. Breaks my heart but here goes," Gig em ". I will always pull for a Texas team over outsiders.

Me too Papa...this ol' Aggie has no problem rooting for the Longhorns when playing out of state teams. Heck I still have a UT 2006 national championship cap. One ugly sucker....gray, white and only a bit of burnt orange....but I wear it when appropriate.

I've got to throw my Gig'Em Aggies!!! into the mix. A lot of the tv personalities are only taking the games against tenn. into account when they discuss/predict the game. If you look at the games we both played against the hawgs, I think you see two slightly different teams than what we had against ut. Myles Garrett didn't play, except for 3rd downs, and even then he was pretty limited. We also didn't have our best blocking receiver (Seals-Jones) against ut. We were able to close out the Arkie game better, because of those two factors(and we also didn't fumble the ball at the 1 yd line going in for a score) I feel we will play better late against bama.

All that said, bama is a beast, and deservedly the #1 ranked team.

If the Ags don't turn the ball over, force bama into at least two turnovers, AND, keep the bama running game(including the Texan Hurts) under wraps we will win....otherwise, it will be a 7 point bama win.

Now TB, there's not any sense in getting wound up and calling us Tennessee folks names. Ive heard several people that went to the A&M game and were very complimentary and talk about how nice the fans were there and how good of a time they had even though we lost. Maybe we can start a healthy rivalry between our schools. That sure was a fun game to watch even though I didn't like the outcome. Not taking anything away from Bama or A&M cause both of y'all beat us and Its an L in the column for us regardless of who played or didn't, but to midTN's point, there's a difference between youth and inexperience. It doesn't matter how talented or what age players are, if they haven't had game experience, there are going to be some growing pains. That's why generally when a player gets knocked out on a team, the opponent goes right after the replacement guy, since that's often times a weak spot. When you're down to 3rd and 4th string guys that have never played a snap together or in a certain position, especially on the offensive line, things can get ugly in a hurry, especially when your opponent is already superior to your 1st team players like Alabama was. It just seems like it's one of those seasons where UT is snakebit with injuries much more than a typical season. Florida had a season similar to ours with injuries the last year Muschamp was there. What makes Bama so dang tough is they have talent AND depth. Their 2nd and 3rd string could beat almost anyone's first stringers. That's why you see several quality players transfer from there every year, because their roster is so stacked, and the lower level guys could play at a lot of other schools sooner than they could there. Right now UT has built back up their talent, but still has a ways to go in regards to depth.

Many were caused by good hard clean hits. They were hauling UT players off the field constantly., How many concussions did they end up with?? One was and OL....got kicked off the team after getting out of the hospital. Must have found something in the lab tests at the hospital. :shock: :shock: But true your game wasn't perfect but neither was the Aggies. Now quit making excuses. Take you loss and move forward. Be proud of your team win, lose or draw.

AJ, I heard the same thing from the Aggie folks talking about what classy, good folks the visitors from Tennessee were. Seems they all had a heck of a time getting to know each other, giving each other he$$ and just getting ready to enjoy a hard fought game. Injuries and youth are just part of the game. The good teams are able to cover these weak spots better. A&M had quite a few injuries as well. Several starters out on defense and the best DE hobbled. Fact is Tennessee lost. Doesn't matter how or why but I certainly understand the disappointment. Time to move on and enjoy some more football, win, lose or draw. As I said earlier you guys should win out now. Not much left on the schedule so an easy finish. We have several very good teams to play and could lose 3 or 4 games real quick (difference in the East and West Division).
