Curious if anyone had a rule of thumb for the # of head/acre for periodic rye grass grazing. I plant into a prepared seedbed with 3 different applications of N through the grazing season. The cattle usually get 3-4 days a week on the grass then I'll pull them off. All pairs.

I put 100#/acre of Amm. N and some potash 3 weeks ago - southern La. We've had 1 shower in that 3 weeks and daily temps above 100degrees.....grass is starting to burn up...any chance there will be some growth still if we get some rain soon?
