I have a JD, bought it at the dealership. Thought if we got a JD that parts would be available, but not always the case. Its a good mower, but, i dont like the cut. Gouges out spots if you have any unevenness in your yard, and i'm not talking about big differences in levels. Any tiny dip, gouge to the ground.
I gave that mower to our son, who keeps it handy for me if i need it. I use a grasshopper now, front deck kind, diesel. Best mower ever if you want golf course look. And even though its bigger and longer than my JD, it still gets into tight places and i can get up to things better. Doesnt go around trees as good, but easily adaptable to get around trees in its own way.
