Powder River manual chutes were the only game in town around here for years. Used by both ranchers and vets until Silencers came along. Now all the vets have hydraulic Silencers. One vet uses a power pack with a Honda engine. Another vet has a hydraulic pump on his Duramax pickup. I much prefer the idling pickup instead of the constant irritation of the buzzing Honda. The pickup powered version is also so much easier to set up and take down, and doesn't die at an inopportune time because someone forgot to fill the Honda with gas  You just don't see many new manual chutes here. Almost everyone who upgrades to a new chute gets a hydraulic model. Easy for one lightweight or older person to run all functions on a hydraulic chute without a lot of muscle power once they get on to it. Teenage girls to 80 yr old men can run a hydraulic chute all by themselves. Neighbor has a Hi-Qual hydraulic chute he likes. It's the only non-vet owned newer chute I've been around. He didn't buy a power pack. I've seen him use his bi-di or his brother's 4040 or his dad's old 3020 on it. He didn't buy a transport kit either, but it's easy to just set the chute on the flatbed trailer and go elsewhere with it as long as there is a loader tractor on each end. Sorry, this post is non Preifert/ForMost/Powder River, but not much help on manual chutes
