The only sport I truly love to follow and watch is college football. I'm a die hard Oregon Duck fan, have been for at least 20 years, since the Chris Miller days.... I'm currently in morning for Joey Harrington :( .

After yesterdays games and no upsets in the BCS top 5, who is your top 5 picks and this is not required but maybe a short reason why.... Just to stir up debate.

Mine are:

1. Ohio State
2. LSU: Even with one loss they are a great football team in every area.
3. Oregon: Fast, lots of offensive weapons, and a very good defense. They are one yard from being undefeated. In my book they could be #2... but I may be bias.
4. Arizona State: I watch them out play and wear down a good Cal team, the jury is still out, they are now into their tough schedule and Dennis Erickson knows how to win. But they may not be as good as all that, Cal is the first real good team they have played. I would like to know who the BCS nut is that is giving them a first place vote.
5. Oklahoma: ???? Just because I don't think Boston College or West Virgina have played too tough of a schedule or is as good as the east coast bias thinks. Boston College proved that against Virgina Tech. I don't think Oklahoma's schedule is tough enough to warrant a National Title.

Just my thoughts..... Yours?

I should add that the current BCS poll, before it has come out today is:

1. Ohio State
2. Boston College
3. LSU
4. Arizona State
5. Oregon
6. Oklahoma
7. West Virginia

I'd pretty much agree with your top 4 but not sure who I would put at number 5. I suppose BC at this point, but I'm rooting for them to lose. I think they would get blown out in a game against Ohio State, LSU, or Oregon. Whoever ends up playing, I want a good, competitive game.

Congratulations on your Ducks. They look like the real deal, and right now it looks to me like the Pac 10 is rivaling the SEC as the best conference. Not quite there yet, but definitely a strong second in my book.

As an Illinois fan, I'll probably root for Ohio State if they get there, but I'm skeptical about their chances against either LSU or Oregon. They have trouble against speed, as we all saw last year when they got spanked by Florida. My Illini play them at Columbus in two weeks. We're definitely on the way up, but that will be a good barometer to see how far we've come.

I would put BC at #4 and Arizona State at #5 and move everyone else up.

I was impressed by Oregon yesterday.
