Hello im new to this site i just wanted to ask a couple questions, i am currently starting to farm with my uncle and got 16 head of my own i want to run more cattle but we dont have enough room in our barn between my cattle and my uncles so i was considering renting a barn from a neighbor and would like to run 50 colored cattle through the winter i would like to buy them around 300- 400 pounds and raise them up to about 600-700 pounds through the winter i figured i could do this in about eight months i was wondering if anyone has had previous experience in doing this and if so if it is profiable and had any advise for me and if my figures are right i plan on feeding them grass hay with corn silage and a 50/50 mix of oats and corn for grain. Any advise would be helpful thank you
