About the top grossing yearlings in the sale, had 3 order buyers fighting over them. One fancy package of Simmental/RA steer calves did beat me though in gross dollars.</p><p></p><p>These are the Simms, there were 19 in the pen. Happy, happy, happy ranchers. Poorest small calves in the 4 weights were $800-900 (640-720 US).</p><p></p><p>I checked fat prices for buddy on my cell and top fat steers are worth about $1900-2000 ($1523-1604 US) through the ring right now in the country. So not much margin left on any of the cattle sold here and they still have to travel 1000 miles in either direction to a feedlot/plant. Auctioneer said we beat all the auction marts in the country for price yet again!</p></blockquote><p></p>
