I have my 1st show of the season tomorrow morning!!! I'll be shoving my Hereford cross steer, and I'm not gonna catch he77 for not buying a 2000 dollar steer lioke the rest of our club-I bred this sucker, and Im showin him. lol.

He looks good, remember this...

If you win or lose, it really doesnt matter there is a seperate pride in showing what you grow.
You should be proud of your work regardless of the outcome and I would say the cash will help also. ;-)

That is a nice, nice steer...good luck...and as redfornow said, be proud that you are showing what you grew...that you didn't stoop to what more and more people here are doing...paying out the nose for their kids to get a jump on everyone else. I find it outrageous.

Thanks you guys, and he is 1/4 angus, so I am showing an angus based cqalf. lol. I got 4th in the heavyweight class, and I got Reserve Grand Champion Intermediate Showman, aswell as Grand Heref. Steer, cause he was the onyl one there. lol. I kinda like sporting our branfd in the ring-It really gives you braggin rites. lol.

Angus Cattle Shower if you are from central SK then you are probably going to show at the Junior Ag Showcase in Saskatoon. I don't know how much your steer weighs but he doesn't look like he is finished to me. The heifer below is what I'm going to be showing there, she is a two year old cow now with her calf. I raised her and can't wait to get her to town again. See ya there.

Yep-Ill be there. lol. He is 1030 now, and for a late march calf, raised on grass, hay, and only having grain for a month now, I think he is pretty good, and I take pride in showing him there. lol.
In 04 I had champion angus yearling heifer there-she lostr her calf this year So i couldnt show her there, bu tshe'll be shown in Humboldt. lol. Too bad-coulda had some more competition. lol. Are you in the Jr.Stockman's program this year?

Thanks, but she's still a heifer in that picture. It was taken last November. I haven't got any recent photos of her now that she is milking.
