What would these 5 x 6 round bales be worth ? Its tall fescue that was cut about the first of June, had gone to seed and as tall as the fence post in the picture as far back as first of May. After it was cut it laid out for probably 10 days and then got a very heavy rain about 3 times during the next 5 days and was raked and bailed close to day 20. Am really surprised at how well it looks as far as color being bright white and the bales shaped as good as they are. It’s not mine. Was brush hogging next to it and took a couple of pictures. Have seen the farmer bale this field for the past three summers and he sells it to someone. Don’t know what I am missing but it’s about same deal every year. Cuts and bales one time only each summer. The wind rows are so deep and wide that some times the wheels on the baler comes off the ground as the tractor drags it on top of the wind row. Hard to believe a cow would eat it ?
