Don't know where I read it but saw something that said worming cows right before turning out with the bull improved conception. Anyone ever try it? Seems like I recall someone saying they got better results with Decotmax.

never heard of that either. i heard that worming bulls prior to breeding season can reduce semen quality, but i took that info with a grain of sand.

We worm about a month before we start to breed. By getting rid of the worms, the cows start to gain faster. A cow on the gain cycles faster than one not on the gain. Plus, do you really want to feed a worm for the summer.

I am sure if you "worm" anything it will cause problems that is why we always DEWORM

Sorry had to say it .This was for SL and Cowboy.

HEY! I heard that!
Don’t blame it on me!
Or should that be herd? Hummmm? Where’s tncattle when you need him?

Hey true story.
Tncattle PMed me and said he bought a truck and was going to fly to Fla to pick it up and would stop to visit on his way back.
The last I heard from him was when he was on his way back and was in Hotlanta,----------------- 3 days ago.
I hope he is all right.
Remember his last trip up north to buy a truck.
Sorry but I can’t help but laugh.

SlL if you haven't heard "herd" back maybe you should go look for him perhaps he is stranded by the side if the road with no CFR. ;-)

We worm (de-worm for the purists) in mid to late April and start breeding mid may. Cows don;t seem to see a problem with it. Of course we're pretty new at doing it. Only been around 30 years so there isn;t much of a track record to go by
