Working/calving barn

Looking at some portable barns. Seems like best option for me. Landlocked at home and have 4 acres fenced and a 20x38 open front with a 35×24' run outside. Portable I could take with me if I get a pasture bought.

Looking at a 16x50 calving barn priced with pens and a head gate area about 15k.

After calving tho I'd like to use it as a working area. Only 10-15 pairs be at my place. I'd possibly haul it to a pasture to ai there but mainly calving/ai/working calves.

Good idea or bad? Anyone have a design to show me?

What width can you take down the highway? All I can add. Whole different climate here.

I ain't worried about moving it myself to the pasture to use, pull it with tractor at night! No cops then!

I'm guilty, too. Years ago a guy gave me a nice building to get out of his yard. The only time I had to move it was a Saturday morning. Jacked it up, backed under it, tied it down and off we went. All good. A week or two later he asked about it and seemed to pause. Another guy had asked after it was gone and wondered how much the permit cost to get it on the highway. All I could say was, "What permit?"

Oilfield moves stuff here all the time without escorts or permits, pay the fines if caught and go on.
