Worked a few head this weekend so the calves got ear tags and the bull calves are now steers and the cows and Susie don't have to worry about worms for the rest of the season.
Just another good day on the farm...Dmc

Yep, that does make for a good day and a very nice feeling of accomplishment! :)

What did you treat Suzie with?

I never figured she had a worm problem.

Should I try it on my wife and kids?

:D

Some how I think I am going to wear this one.

Actually I might be a dummass depending on how it is received.

Put another bull calf on the ground 20 minutes ago - it is dark, windy, cold and some light snow - calf is up and sucking and I am ready for the bunk.

Mom can handle it now.

Best to ya'.

You did, or the cow did?  Congratulations! That is a very good feeling - especially when conditions are less than optimal.

Congrats on the calf....we have two late calvers to go...bought heifers, deals that were worth the late calving.

Susie was handling the Dectomax injections and had a cow jump in the chute....I'm sure she isn't the only person that is immune to bovine diseases. I'm due for my blackleg this fall.

Yeah, I managed to give myself a shot of Selenium and E in the jaw a couple years ago - local vet nearly had a heart attack he laughed so hard.

I have no chance of white muscle or rickets now!
