This may not be a hot topic for everyone, but it is here in WA, after the debacle in ID with wolf recovery (livestock kills/elk calf kills which have raised total he77 with elk populations), and recent problems in East OR (see articles from Baker City, OR newspaper). This is a very current article from our local newspaper -- Mitch is a friend of ours. He's not actually a hay grower -- he works with my husband for a local hay grower (newspapers don't always get things totally straight), but his guide/back-country experience is solid.
