Planted the wheat today, the feed store that I usually buy from was out. It's a little later than normal around here, but I wasn't sure if I was even going to, the wife and I decided we better. Didn't have my phone, back to the house, called around and saved 2.50 dollars a bushel, glad the sob was out. Rain on the way, woohoo!

With the way the summers have extended themselves in the last few years, You should be ok. I've got a bunch of seed on standby.....will wait until mid October+ until the moisture comes with some extra.....too many $$ on some of these seed

I'm going to try to put 40 acres in the ground next week. 50# cereal rye mixed with 12.5# of tetraploid ryegrass. Plus the cost of the drill puts me up to 1500.00.
But it should be a lot better quality that any hay i've got to offer this year.

I need to plant some wheat myself. My seed guy fell through, and we’re still having 90 degree days and no rain. I “think” I can find some more to plant, but they way I do it will take a long slow rain. I won’t plant wheat after October the 10th, so I may not have any wheat to graze this year.
