Winter Sacrifice Area Seeding

I spring toothed the area I had parked feeder wagons on several times and then seeded it to a clover/grass mix.
It seemed to take OK in the spring, we had a wet summer, and now this fall I have a mass of clover with a little grass.
Does clover favor a hard manured seed bed or did something else drive this stand?

If the clover got started before the grass that owuld explain it. Usually the one that gets a headstart will out do the other because of seedling shading. Clip.graze the clover short and if the growing conditions are right for the grass it will dominate.
