Thanks , this little church is about 3 miles from my house. No services anymore it was restored about 10 15 years ago. It only does funerals and weddings. The interior is restored to original condition also. I'll try and get a pic of the marker out front. I only had 12 church's to choose from within 5 miles of my house

Congrats dash! Nice pictures everyone. Alison said voting was crazy. The church in my pic is also a couple of miles away and holds service every Sunday morning with bible study Wednesday nights. I have been told it was built, along with the school house across the road, around 1900.

I really enjoyed this contest. My entry has had many lives. I can't remember when it was built, but it hasn't been used as a church in my lifetime, almost 28 years. It was an antique store for several years. The man that owns it now bought it to restore/remodel it as a home, but it was too far gone for his budget. It now just sits there, falling in on itself.

I did figure out that the church was founded as Hopwell Cumberland Presbyterian in 1835. This building was built in 1950.

Would probably take a ton of cash to transition that into a home but bet it would be one beautiful place if they ever did it.

I told you I was going to find a picture of that little church by our place... by chance my friend sent me one he has.. Most likely built in the late 1800's or early 1900's (Our place was founded 1886) and that's when the gold rush and all the settlements were starting around here.. it was probably Catholic, but don't quote me on that
