Great photo! Those waxwings come down here in the winter. Travel around in flocks and descend and feed upon anything that has berries, especially red ones like pyracantha or dogwood, and stay until there's not a berry left. Interesting creature.
Yes they stay till about Sept and don't see them till spring The berries on the Mayday trees ripen and they get tipsy and fly into things so we must be sending them south with a hangover.
