Winches

I'm going to bite the bullet and get a new Ranger for the farm but hearing $750 for an installed winch about put me over the edge. This made me start looking online. I can get a Warn winch (4000 lbs) for about $450 or a KFI or no-name for about $300. Any reason to pay $750? Is a Warn still really better? Just to be clear, I'm not cheap. I just want the best value.

The dealer cost on a Warn probably about what they are online. So w some mark up and a mounting kit plus labor to install 750 probably right. They might bargain since your buying a Ranger I would think

I got a Superwinch, 11,500 lbs for $400 new in box from a pawn shop, taxes in... I'd definitely shop around. Installation is going to cost a little something I'm sure

Dad put a harbor feight one on his. Was about 100 bucks. It has never been used as expected so does well.
