I have tried to be polite to the boy. He doesn't seem to want to play nice. I've seen several of the pm's he has sent to other members of the forum. I have to say...they ought to make a sailor blush.

And to think, here we all thought farm and ranch raised kids were the pillor's of our communities and the light at the end of the tunnel for this country's future. We missed that boat by a long shot didn't we.

They generally are, he is the exception to the rule.

Im glad I have pretty much stayed out of his posts. Im all for voicing your opinion and standing up for what you believe in, but ignorance is not justified for his ignorance. I cant say I have gotten any messages from him either, but then again, I can never remember to check my dang PMs. Need some flashing thingy when you have a new message.

Let me see if I have this right....you have no problem with him being abusive and intolerant towards other members of this board then, right?

No no no, I think stuff like that is wrong. What I mean is that if you have intelligent ideas and beliefs, express them. I dont mean to go around blabbing hateful things when you have no clue what your talking about.

Guess that last post was worded pretty bad. I have a problem with being hateful and intollerant. I always find myself telling people at school to shut up unless they have some sort of facts to back up stupid ideas. I mean, you cant really have beliefs unless you have some information about it, can you?

Read the Woman President thread, see what ya'll are talking about now. Tsk tsk.

Now you went and reminded him of that one Ruby. He'll just have it removed or edited off there by morn.

Honestly, I didn't like being called illbred. I've NEVER talked to anyone like he did that night. And all his appologies are followed by a big but.
I don't quite recall who all was involved in the president thread but, I do know he got pretty "colorful" with me, msscamp, and certs.

Just want to thank the MEN here for sticking up for us.

Far as I'm concerned...the boy needs a woopin'. So does Bif for that matter.

I guess 'stupid' is in the eyes of the receiver. Not everyone has the ability to express things perfectly and not all ideas are perfectly expressable (sp?). Yes, you can have beliefs, be completely grounded in those beliefs, know where you are coming from with those beliefs, and not be able to explain them to others. You might try growing up a little, as well as developing a little tolerance and patience right along with Wilson.

PS Beliefs are not necessarily based on 'facts', they are based on feelings, values, morals, experience, the way one was raised and what one was taught by one's parents, teachers, ministers, and other interactions with various people who held an authoritative position.

I would support the decision to remove anyone addressing so many of the other members in such a degrading manner.
It is a shame that Avery has choosen to represent himself in such light.

I'm just sorry that Avery is from Oklahoma. It makes the rest of us look bad. I apoligize as not all of us are that way. I'm fairly new to the board and appreciate all the good advice I've gotten off of here. Think maybe he needs to stay away from that keg under his name. If he sobered up his langauge and attitude would have to improve.

I only have the right to speak for myself, but I honestly believe that others will agree with me when I say that no one is 'judging' (for lack of a better word) all residents of Oklahoma by the standards Avery has set forth.

I hate to say it but, it reflects bad on his daddy too. If I had acted like that my a** wouldn't have held shucks after daddy was finished with me. It wouldn't have made any difference how old I was either. I kinda feel sorry for him. He's got a rough road ahead if he don't get a grip on his attitude.

I agree. If I treated women, or anyone with as little respect as he does I wouldnt be able to sit for a month. I guess not everyone knows how important it is to give respect to everyone, especially a lady.

A Boy that has never been taught at a young age to have respect for Women, and his Elders, IMHO, will never be a true Man. He's got a lot of growing up to do.If a Woman has anything ever to do with him, she'll likely drop him like a 2 dollar Pistol.

If she's smart she would. God help her if she didn't.

I know kids who had simular situations as described here, but they decided to take hold of their own boot straps and pull themselves out of it. You do not have to be a reflection of what you see. Everyone has a choice. The result is up to you. If you are around people you will see an example of any type person you might imagine, drug addicts, drunks, liars, cheaters and criminals of all kinds. You have the choice to be like them or use them as an example of what you don't want to be. This excuse of a broken home thing don't hold any water with me anyway. I have been a single parent for the last 15 years myself. You do what you gotta do.

I aint taking his side on this one. but he stated earlier he was from a broken home. that his moma had a drug problem i think. in my way of thinking he probably had a screwed up childhood i think of my kids they are not throwaways his dad left to raise him no good without two parents now heres what i really think we should try to encourage better behavior than to have him banned.
We're not gonna save him. There has to be other mrssage boards that want his kind. Let him go there. We don;t need im and he would probaly be happier elsewhere. I say lets tell him bye, and wish him the best. It's not our job to raise him. That's his dads job and his mamas if she's still around.

Meanness don't just happen overnight. I say give him one more chance, set an example and let him "cowboy up". I have a feeling when he knows his meanness isn't appreciated around these boards, he'll put his best boot forward like a true cowboy.

If not, he's been warned! Let him pay the consequences then.
