A friend asked me the above question and I have no idea. The backstory is that he was without a Bull for about a year and then bought one. His herd started calving in September and a few of the older cows did not have calves. They were going to be headed to town when suddenly, he has 4 new calves in the last three weeks from the cows that he thought were too old to cycle anymore.

No.
Does a celibate female stop cycling?
Does a 60 yr old married woman continue to cycle?
A mammal is a mammal and a bull isn't the determining factor in cycling or not.

Since the cows had calves, obviously what he thought and what was true were miles apart, as is often the case in what many think is true and what is actually true.
