I deer/hog hunted my Burleson county place this weekend, I’ll be going to Leon County next weekend, then to Coleman county for thanksgiving.
I seen deer, but no legal bucks, I shot two hogs, on about 70# gilt, and one big boar.
I butchered the gilt.

Give'em hell.

Ours are pretty much only moving at night right now with the added traffic and acorns.
Here in Burleson county they have been coming out in daylight, in Leon County we very seldom see them in the daylight, we don’t have any in Coleman county, but they are around and thick in some places.

We’ve been trapping for some time but the numbers have dwindled down almost nothing. I think a lot of it has to do with my son using an electric golf cart, a 308 and thermal scope. We feed corn a protein year round and he sneaks up on each feeder. Usually he kills 2 a night (weekends). Lately he’s not seeing anything. I think we’ve driven them out for the time being but they will be back for sure. We’ve also noticed our turkey have come back. We used to be covered up but several years ago nothing. Then we started trapping hogs and raccoons. It appears that has helped a bunch

We have a guy that comes in with a thermal scope, he gets more hogs in one night than hog doggers do all year.
I will not let anymore hog doggers on my places, all they do is run our deer out.
I scolded one pretty good, we were headed to hunt my Leon co property, he called and said his dogs were on my place, I was upset, I talked to him like he had a tail.
