Got 3/4 inch yesterday. First measurable amount in 75 days according to the news. Heck at this rate I might be able to cut some hay before Christmas. Center state and west has been getting rain almost every day for over a week.

Always feels good when you go that long without any rain to get a good one. Hope you get some more. If I could, I would send some of mine down your way. It hasn't rained since Friday, and this is the longest streak in a month!!

I feel your pain as I'm in the same boat. Saturday we had a 80% chance of rain and the clouds moved in and it poured at the house and we probably got over and inch. Went out to check the gauges where the cows are and the most I had in a gauge was 2/10's. I'm beginning to think I pissed somebody off.

You and me both Jo. I have seen it rain all the way around the hay fields and keep thinking it can't miss every time but it does. We finally did get some on the hay fields Sunday but one good rain won't do any good unless it gets followed up pretty quickly the grass will just wilt over again.

Yeah. What we need is a good soaker where the ground water and the top water can meet. Then things will turn quick. I've had to turn some of the cows on a hayfield that has some of that high dollar fertilizer on it and they are loving it but its making me sick to think all that money was spent for this. I could irrigate one place but I can't justify that expense on cows.

I'm calling this doughnut weather cause I can look in every direction and see huge clouds move in and it just fizzles out when it gets to us. Depressing to say the least. But we do have a chance of rain this weekend so I'll keep them fingers crossed.
