Caustic posted in the "Every thing else board" today...he's still here

Don't know about Ollie though

Was wondering the same thing about Ollie. I know he's a hidden user, so unless he decides to post we won't know he's around.

where'd that other post go on here?...I could have sworn there was another one that said "Ollie has a new baby girl" :? ...maybe i'm going crazy...who knows

Been bailing hay all week dang baler broke down.
Wheel came off the baler on the side of a hill with a bale ready to be kicked out, this turned in to one heck of a rodeo before it got where it bale in a straight line again. Outer race failed and the wheel came off the spindle , neighbor was bailing while I was raking never seen a John Deere stop that fast. I hate hay

Grease aint cheap Mike as I buy it in five gallon buckets for my pneumatic grease gun. I think I actually over greased it and blew the grease seal.

pneumatic grease gun huh?...I had a grease gun once back in Vietnam...but it didn't actually have to do anything with real grease

Too much grease around here only gets sand stuck to everything.

Be thankful you have hay to bale. I am thankful of what I have, and your advice a few months back.

Hay is getting extremely scarce. Last year took all the reserves of anything, with folks feeding hay as much as six years old. Even those who "always have hay" are out.

Boogie if I get another cutting I will have enough up to make winter 1/2 is good the other what ever I could bale. We are in good shape compared to a lot of people in the state we are getting a little rain off and on, I have grass in the pastures.

Hey as a hobby rancher

I'm upset with that comment, I pay big $ for my cow hay so I don't have to worry about greasing equipment. :D

You got a point Alan. maybe you have taught CB something!

We used to just stay away from my dad when he was baling hay. He would come home and us kids would all just scatter! He was never happy till the hay was baled.

Reminds me of my youth, it's funny how seeing the look on dad's face coming in the house, can make all us kids "scatter" for a while.... but oh how I love my dad!

I also made my kids scatter on occasion. :(

Alan

I can make my kids scatter right now if I wanted to. But I don't want to. They grow up and scatter on their own too soon.

Last year when we had the lease place it was a nightmare as well. We don't have hay equipment, we hired someone else to do it. Of course they didn't want to do it until they had baled 100 other places and had a free weekend, so hubby went out at 2 a.m. and baled. Didn't want to be around HIM for a day or two.
