I just heard about the mass shooting in Louisiana. One would think that these days people would start carrying to protect themselves. I went to Walmart without my gun last week and I felt like I left my pants off and was nude. I hated that feeling. People need to realize people with bad intentions do not follow laws. I truly feel bad for the victims and families but come on America if more carried these situations could be minimized. :2cents:

Sky there is a war raging. People like you and me that know we have the right to protect ourselves against the people who "feel" if we took all the guns away from the citizens everything would be perfectly peaceful.

A war is raging.

:lol2: I just don't get it. I completely agree. I know if you have a gun doesn't mean you will live always but if I can get to my gun I have a fighting chance instead of being a sitting duck.

You could talk until you are blue in the face and "they" will never get it.

You could give "them" 1,000 examples of someone defending themselves and it will not change their mind.

All guns must be "taken" from the citizens.

My wife carries a pistol everywhere she goes. She even carried one to New York, against my wishes. I've been carrying an AR15 along with a shotgun in my vehicles since the St. Louis riots. I'd hate not to have them and need them. People are crazy, and their proving it every day.

Sky this was another of those gun free zones....however, sitting in a dark theater having your gun with you would not have helped much when I guy simply stands up and starts shooting anybody and everybody. No way in he// to even know where it's coming from unless he's sitting beside you.

DotGov is legalizing drugs and trying to criminalize firearms. Interesting. On my new build I'm going to settle on .308 because they'll be plenty of these rounds laying by the people with the baby blue berets who came to take it away.

The only "GUN FREE ZONES " I don't take my gun in is when I do work at the Prison or Court house other than that it goes with me. Some times I leave "Candy " at home a carry a cheap .38 revolver that fits in my boot. But most of the Time I have my pistol "Candy" on my side but out of sight. I always have a .223 in my pickup and my wife carries a .380. Its them "GUN FREE ZONES " that I'm concerned about so I most always have my gun if they don't have a metal detector when you go in.

See there, had you been in the movie we would have had two idiots shooting in the dark. That's comforting. By all means avoid the dreaded metal detector.

On the other hand, he could have found himself sitting behind the nutcase and could have given him a love tap to the brain pan and less people would have been harmed.

We can always speculate. Not good odds. On the other hand, had the guy been sitting right in front of him he may have shyt his pants when the first shot was fired and hit the floor. We'll never know.

It's not always dark when a nutcase starts shooting TB.

But it is when the movie is playing. Supposedly ti had been playing 20 minutes. I realize there would have been times the screen might have illuminated a bit of the theater.

I think the odds of you shyting your pants in this situation are much higher than being in the right position to take action but its also not right to assume someone with a firearm would return fire if they didn't have a clear shot. But I will give you that some people are stupid but I still am optimistic that there are many who are not.

What I mean is that not all of these incidents occur in the dark. Take the Chattanooga shooting for instance.

I don't know what I did to you to be called an "IDIOT" I guess because I think people should have the right to arm themselves ????
No one ever knows how they will react in a situation like that but I "THE IDIOT BRYANT" I think I would stay in control of myself to follow the training I have had in order to get my lic. to carry a firearm. When I "THE IDIOT BRYANT" enters a place I ALWAYS try to sit where I HAVE THE BEST ADVANTAGE if something like this happens but you never now till you are faced with it, and Lord knows I "THE IDIOT BRYANT" hope I'm never faced with it.
But being a "IDIOT" who knows what I "THE IDIOT BRYANT" might do ???????????????

Have a good day Mr.TexasBred :tiphat:
