Hello,
I have a four month old heifer who has just started wheezing. We picked her up as a drop calf but she hasn't had the problems usually associated with drops. The weather has been pretty hot here, consistently over 95. We feed her grass and sweet cob and there is an electrolyte we add to her water. What should I do for this wheezing or is it something that can correct itself? Does weather play a significant role in her symptoms? Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.

You better have her seen by a vet. It's not normal.
It could be anything from allergies to pneumonia or any number of things in between.
Did you check her temp?

I haven't checked her temp. I've never done it before. She is our second calf and the first to be ill. What is normal temp for a calf?

Her temp today is at 104 and wheezing is still quite audible, breathing is labored. She does not exhibit any signs of depression or lethargy.
