Anybody sub wheat for corn in a finishing ration? Looking at maybe trying it if the dollars and cents end of it work.

Wheat was pretty expensive this year so don't expect any real bargains. Wheat works well in a diet if cracked but I would feed a combination of wheat and corn and limit wheat to about 40% of amount of corn. Protein is higher than corn but energy is lower. Drawbacks?? Acidosis and lowered dry matter intake it you use toomuch of the wheat. Some Rumensin added to the mix will help offset some of this.
