Wheat success

Wondered how everyone was doing with gains this winter on wheat. We normally average about 2.6 to 2.7 p/pd and will not be anywhere close to that this spring.

Any projections for your wheat gains? I'd also be very interested in hearing what everyone is doing in regard to carrying capacity on wheat in normal to good years in the north central part of Texas.

I've got 20 acres of wheat that we were able to get two grazings off up till February. It hasn't been that great of a stand(I may have left the cows on it too long) until the last week and a half. It has since shot up and I'll be running the cows back on it next week. Haven't weighed recently so I can't say what my gains are but the cows are in the best condition that I've seen in the last two years.
