what to sow

I got some ground around my property line that is hard and somewhat rocky. It is at the top of a hill. It is at times shaded by the trees on the boundary line. Is there something I could frost sow that may take? I have been drilling fescue and red clover and it is slowly coming in. Would white clover and lespedeza stand a chance while ground is soft?

Have you had your soil tested? You may need to find out what your soil is best suited for before you can decide what to plant there. Get with your local Extension Office and they can point you in the right direction.
