What % of fat cattle are contracted?

I had watched Corbitt Wall's feeder flash youtube video other day there and I thought he said something like 85% of all the fat cattle are traded on contracts? Is that correct? I can't find video again that I was looking for and google hasn't been any help to me.

Seems to me that I remember it being in the 80% range, so I think you are right. I haven't been able to find where Corbitt said it either.

I do think that they also said that the BIG 4 packers/processors handle at least 80% of the cattle in this country because so many of the smaller ones have gone out/ been bought out mostly by the bigger ones.
