I have a cow with a runny nose...not too bad. She was separated from her calve about 3 weeks ago, just recently noticed the runny nose. What is it and how should I treat it? Looking foward to reading your responses. Thanks

If that is the only symptom, just keep an eye on her. A runny nose isn't a great problem. But watch for other symptoms, a cough, wheezing or trouble breathing.

Agree with Randi but want to add also look at the head set a lower than usual (for that particular cow) headset, listless eyes and droopy ears are all signs that it is time to take action.

All of the above plus stick a thermometer in her if over 102 treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic .
