Things I have learned from watching the news about Hurricane Katrina on TV:
1. The hurricane only hit black familys' property.

2. New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the hurricane.

3. Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.

4. New Orleans has no white people.

5. The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard of an Alabama resident.

6. When you are hungry after a hurricane, steal a big screen TV.

7. The hurricane did 23 billion dollars in improvements to New Orleans: now the city is welfare, looter and gang free and they are in YOUR city.

8. White folks don't make good news stories.

9. Don't give thanks to the thousands that came to help rescue you,
instead, bitch because the government hasn't given you a debit card yet.

10. Only black family members got separated in the hurricane rescue efforts.

11. Ignore warnings to evacuate and the white folks will come get
you and give you money for being stupid.

12. Damn, I feel so sorry for all those black folks.

13. Oh, and it's all George Bush's fault.

How true there are places here that has not seen any help at all. But of course all white. Ummm we just hitch up our britches and get it done maybe that is what we are doing wrong, (not waiting long enough?).

Naw, we just take more pride in ourselves. I heard just the other day that FEMA contracted the debris removal in my area. I was talking to one of my neighbors and he said he asked the guy on the front end loader if he would pull a stump out for him. The guy says sure after the FEMA rep leaves. He came back popped it and three others out. My neighbor asked him how much he owed and guy laughed and said he was getting paid so much by FEMA he didn't need his money. Our town government then got the FEMA bill later. No wonder taxes are so high. Government operations just run everything up. I talked to another hauler and he said he would have done it for half what FEMA paid him and still made a killing. What's up with all this?

How about the truck loads of ice FEMA sent to Maine? I know FEMA official Could not spell Mississippi. Ummmm

My home took almost direct hits from Frances and Jeanne just a couple weeks apart. Lucky for me the farm is further north. The farm just had some tin missing and some trees down on the fences in a few areas. I cleaned up my home, pulled stuck neighbors out, cut trees for them, and headed to the farm to cut trees and repaired fences. I have a friend with a weather system down the street about a mile. He said he was seeing sustained winds in the 125-130MPH range for about an hour. I now have a weather system myself.

The #13 is the one that has me confused. I was talking with my aunt on wednesday and she is a democrat to the core and as we were talking about the hurricane, no politics involved she comes out of the blue with, Yeah and your President won't even take any responsiblity for any of this.
I didn't even respond to her but I know in her mind she thinks George Bush could have stopped both of these hurricanes.

As far as the other 12 - sounds all about right to me.
