What good things producers do for each other

I had gotten word about her having cancer well before the sale started, and had a chance to talk to her dad for a bit. I knew I couldn't get one of her calves (no trailer and needed to save a little money). Once the announcement was made on the second heifer, I knew folks had stepped up to the plate for her. Then, Mr. Minix had gotten up to speak, I KNEW that it was the right time to give what I could. Some folks gave more, but to know that so many people have huge hearts for someone in need, makes me believe that I am involved with a great group of folks, and am happy that I am serving such a great association.

That is an amazing story, and bless your heart greatgerts, and all those who pitched in and helped her with her sales!! I hope she kicks the cancer's a$$ and can come back and do all she wants to do.

Seems like every fall around here there's a story or two about someone that's run into trouble around harvest time. Could be a health problem, death in the family, or something like that. Without fail, farmers from miles around show up with their equipment, get things coordinated, finish the harvest, and go back to their own work, never asking anything in return. Good people take care of good people.
