What do you make of these posts

I just bought these SS40 posts new. I thought they were dirty, but when I went to wipe them down I found they just look like crap. I don't know if they were restocked or maybe they were at the bottom of the pile.

Do you think they are functionally ok or is the galvanization damaged? They look like this all the way around and from top to bottom.

Looks just like some we installed 5 years or so ago.

They look functional. Are they going somewhere that they need to be pretty? Along the house yard?
If there going where no one will see them I wouldn't think twice about it.

Well, they are going along the front entrance to my place so looks matter somewhat. But, nobody is going to be close enough to see detail. I planted one today. I'll try to be a little more selective when purchasing more.
