This might have been discussed . If so someone please point me toward the search link..........if not what do you carry or pack? I'm toting a big 357 but need something that conceals a little better today. What do you suggest or what do you carry? Thanks in advance.

i carry a ruger vaquero .357 6 inch barrel. Don't carry it concealed. When I feel the need to carry it I want it to be seen . I run cows in a few bad areas . Been approached a few times at the gate but for some reason I've never had a problem. Kimber makes a nice compact 45 acp .

concealed either my Taurus Judge or my Ruger P89 9mm
Open my ruger 357 mag or large frame colt 38 special
nightstand ruger 44Mag
wife carry taurus 38 special

Beretta .380 mod 84 with hydrashocks. Shoulder holster w/ coats. Back holster otherwise
Extremly concealable (even on a girl) with high capacity, & no pass thru concerns
Not as much punch as a 9mm but only about half the size & wgt.
If you don't need concealment, I like 1911 type .45

I am old fashioned but have always preferred the old rotary gun to the auto.

No argument, they have many advantages, and my hubby prefers them as well, but they're designed for a man's hand, and don't fit me well. And the ones supposedly designed for women have such a short/light barrel they're painful to shoot after about 15 rounds and second shot recovery takes longer than a heavier barrel. The auto's fit my hand better and are better balanced for me

When I feel the need I take S&W .357 with 158 grain hollow points.
Looking at getting a Taurus Judge this fall. Looking at the Featherweight one.

I have a judge and I have rheumatoid arthritis.....

I can shoot my short barrelled Judge fine with no problems. When I bought it the guys at the gun shop advised me to go with the heavy verion to keep the recoil more in line with my capabilities.

they querried me about what the heaviest calibers and sizes were that I had shot recently and when I told them I could still handle my large frame 44 mag. they advised me to go with the regular Judge. Mine is a 3 inch barrell and 2.5 inch chamber.

12 gauge.

I prefer the 22 hornet. I do have trouble concealing it though, how do you do it?
The 12 gauge lays on the floorboard of the back seat, covered with an old jacket. Scoped .17HMR lays on the backseat, covered with an old jacket. :D
