Hubby and I decided to go to the sale barn in Karnes City yesterday. Prices are high...we didn't stay to long. They brought a new born out that was borned there. Her naval was still wet. Started her at 50.00,she ended up costing 225.oo What a deal !
There was a holstien bull breeding alot of chars and angus. Hope none of you got any of those.
Then we left and went riding around looking at everyones cows along the way.I came across these wild cattle.lol I do believe they would have followed us anywhere. I thought of you caustic when I saw them.

Joy I do like the Brimmer girls and those in the bottom pics have money maker written all over them.
Now as far as that bull go's he looks like he should have been Wolf Brand a long time ago.

I thought you might like them. The ones on the bottom are first time calvers. Stopped by and talked to a young man checking on them. He has a nice bunch of animals.
I agree about the bull. Wolfbrand it is. Thank you cowboy....didn't notice I guess because of the lack of sleep....Huge. :)

Joy; Those last two pics. look like money in the bank to me.
The first two picks look like the old days.
That bull looks like I don,t want to be in the same pasture with him. Take him to Mexico and fight him.

They let bulls and cows in the same pen there? Seems a little scary to me
Yes here bulls and cows stay in the same pastures. I'm curious, Do most you, Not let your bulls stay with your cows ?
The bull seemed pretty calm, he walked right up to us. Not sure who owns him, I saw him and stopped and took a picture.
I agree nova I would love to have them in my pastures. The first pictures didn't do those cows justice. It started misting rain so it was just a couple of quick pictures. There was some really nice heifers and cows in that bunch.

with that 3/4 bull he must have a certain goal in mind
I didn't see any calves around him. But I did see some hereford cows and brahma crossed cows. I'll have to remember later on and see if I can see some calves out of him. What do you think the other 1/4 is ?

I am looking at those white face calves in the bottom pic and wondering if they are F-1's.

Joy you are also right about following. A brahma is going to face you. No real way to get behind them unless you want to cause a train wreck. You can lead them anywhere right peacefully.

Look at those horns. Don,t look like brahman so they must have come from something else. The horns look those rodeo bulldoging steers.

Yes they are F-1's I talked to the guy that owns them. He said most of the cows/heifers were not bred until they were 2 yr olds. I just know they are some mighty fine little heifers.
The older cows were really calm(for brahmas). They never saw us before or anything. But when we stopped to take pictures, here they came running up like they knew us forever. When we started to leave they followed us down the fence line.
