Got back from Abilene yesterday with our llamas. Took 17 and placed 12. I was reserve youth overall preformance and qualified for the Grand Nationals in Lincoln Nebraska in October.
 
well i figured that, i meant do you bred them after your done showing them, do you butcher them??
 
They say they taste like horse. I've never tried it. We breed them and show and sell the babies.

Do you do anything with the fiber? I've heard that you can make a killing if it's any good. :D
 
We have several llamas that have excellant fiber and they get totollay shaved at the beginning of summer. Sure do have some nice rugs and blackets from them.
 
i've heard that you can get nlike 6 dollars an ounce for llama fiber. and thats how some people will make their money off of them.

is it true
 
I don't know about all that. Most of our fiber we enter in an off animal fiber contest and then have like blankets and rugs made out of them.
