Weight Gain?

What would the acceptable or desirable weight be for a bull be on 1/20/2006 if he was born on 3/24/2004 and weighed 1350lbs on 10/20/2005? This is in regards to our new junior herdsire, we bought last summer. I know his weight on 1/20/2006, but I would like what ya'll would be looking for in growth before I reveal his new weight.

Since he was 1350 at @17 months, and he is now about 20 months old, I'd guess he weighs about 1575. I am guessing this assuming that he had a 70lb BW (not sure what's average for LH) and that his ADG of about 2.5lbs/day was maintained for the full 20 months. Am I in the ballpark?

it will depend on how well you are feeding him, so i will guess about 1500-1525 as an average. that would be about a 2# per day gain.

Without seeing the bull yall made some good guesses, and gave me some good info. Thanks.

Last week at the Ft. Worth Stock Show he was the Texas Longhorn Grand Champion Bull, and his weight: 1650lbs. I thought that 300lbs in basically 3 months was a pretty good gain, especially for a longhorn. Comes out to 3.33 lbs/day. Which I know is good for a longhorn. I'll get his pic up from Ft. Worth as soon as I get it.
