And, we are pretty happy overall with the weights. These were mostly March calves. The oldest were Feb 20 and the youngest was Apr 7.
The steers averaged 186 days old and 539 lbs with an avg ADG of 2.41 lb/day.
The heifers averaged 192 days old and 546 lbs with an avg ADG of 2.39 lb/day.
The heaviest steer and heifer were both 638 lbs.
We weaned 23 heifer calves, and the rest of the calves went out to swath graze oats until we sell them in October. They should do quite well on that.
