This is my Jan/Feb calving herd. Weaned all calves this past Friday. Just moved cows to this paddock. 4th grazing. All bawling is over. Calves have been quiet for a few days. Only interested in our buckets of corn! twice a day.
Gave them a new section of grass this morning and a dry round bale.

May i ask why you haul them to the sale a day ahead when im pretty sure your going tomorrow also. Loose 50lb at $2 or more a lb is a lot of money lost.
I'd a sure liked to hauled em in the morning. But sale starts at 830am.

I don't like waiting in line. I don't like getting up at 4 am. I don't like unexpected problems while loading at 5 am either.

And I actually had help today!!

I started at 6 am this morning. Calves were delivered at 11. They'll do ok. They are big enough and like to eat!!
