I have two Holstein/ Hertford bottle calves. I've scaled them down the least two weeks on their bottles and they are now 15 weeks old. Looking to cut rhem
Off at this point, what do you think? They have been eating calf starter grain since they were 7 weeks old, asl well as hay and some grass that's still growing in our pasture. I'm new to this so be gentle please. lol

Good deal, sure hope so, first time dealing with cattle. I'm assuming the bawling at the gate like their being beat will slowly go away after a couple days as well? Lol. They sound like their so miss treated out there

Ditto... if they are eating good, then plenty old enough to wean. Yep, they are mad that their "comfort food" has been taken away... They will get over it... You are doing fine...
Good hay so they get the most nutrition out of it since they can only eat so much as their rumen is still "small"...
I try to wean off bottles 8-12 weeks.... according to how they are doing.
