we are going to be weaning calves in a few weeks. we will back ground for 60ish days. we have 3 heifers (1 keeper), 1 bull calf (keeper), and 11 steer calves. im guessing they weigh 450 to 600#. we will split into 2 groups, light and heavy weights. We can feed a grain mix (made by the local co-op) for @245-275 per ton, or we can feed corn gluten pellets for $175 per ton. we will hand feed one to 2 times a day, bumping them up gradually over the 60 days. what would you guys feed?

You should be able to get a 16% commodity ration for $200 or less a ton in bulk in your area.
