Yes, calling is the absolute best way. When you use rotational grazing, you usually can call them out of standing grass. They hear the quad or you calling, they come running. I have a heeler and he never gets to "work" the cattle. If we need one for breeding or something, nephew & I just walk among the cows with a reel of polywire & just sort her out and walk her to the barn.
Good group of cow/calves.

Thanks. Yeah they get moved every week. They hear the gator and come running. One of the best things we ever did.
