Do you think bitter orange could keep an older calf from trying to suck? Mom is doing a pretty good job keeping her off, but I was thinking of something to help... Mom won't calve until April, and I really don't want to separate them again unless I have too. I will probably separate them when she gets close to calving, just not yet...

Yup. Separate, put a nose flap in the calf or sell it.

I third the nose flap if you don't want to separate them. How long were they separated before?

I guess I'll be the forth to day nose flap. I'm a believer after I tried them.
