We have snow now.

The Pineapple express has been dumping a ton of rain of western Oregon and Washington. The northern edge of that system must have slipped up to your area. But it sure isn't snow down here. The system has been sliding by mostly north of me. It has been unseasonably warm.

We are getting the "dip" of the cold from the west and north.... Supposed to be in the single digits and minus with some wicked wind chills for the next 24-36 hours... Then warming by midweek back into the normal range of 40/50 days and 20/30's at night.... Crazy....

We have 8 inches of snow and minus 15 this morning. Mid week it is supposed to be 50 so it will be a strange week.

The wind let up for a day or two. We are supposed to be 62* and sunny today. Then back to 40-50 mph wind later in the week as the low pressure system that missed @Dave scoots across to the north of us.

As of yesterday we were at around 50" of snowfall for this season, and its been snowing all night and today. It's only the middle of December, it better slow down because I'm not ready for another 20 foot season like last year.

We have had more snow and cold so far this year as the last two years combined. I hope this is not the trend for the remainder of the winter.

42” here reported at the airport, calling for 12” tonight.

Get yourself a V-plow right from the start. I've got 2 straight blades and the V for the skid steer and V-plow is where it's at.

That does look really good, kinda wish I had seen it before I made the deal on an angle blade lol. But we typically don’t get snowed under here so I think a 9’ hydraulic angle blade will do the trick. I do still have a dozer for if things get really tough.

I've got an 8.5' and 11.5' angle blades. The V-plow saves so much clean up time in the scoop position its unreal.

Only time I use my pickup truck and plow is to open up the away farms a couple times a winter.

Ya, the cleanup time would be great. I am looking forward to widening out my trails that have got progressively narrower from plowing with the front end loader bucket though. I don’t mind plowing an area with the loader, but it sucks for roads. The blade will be handy for that. I do have a blade I bought awhile ago made in China. It was cheap (cheaply made) so was in fact a total waste of money. I bet it doesn’t weigh 200 lbs. The new made in Canada blade weighs 1000 lbs. I have it home now and will unload and try it in the morning after feeding.

Lots of flimsy Chinese made SS implements out there that aren't worth owning. I bought an angling dozer blade at auction that lasted all of half an hour in a pile of loose dirt before it folded up like a soda can.

I build most of my SS attachments now and over build them so they hold up to a 13k lb 110hp skid steer.
